From May 29 to May 30, in the city of Brest, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus held a republican seminar on the topic "Ensuring the safe operation of bridge structures."
The seminar was attended by the leaders and specialists of the Ministry of Transport, regional and city executive committees, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, and the organization of the road economy.
From Gosstroynadzor participated the first deputy director of the Department of control and supervision of construction Bulakhov Yu.V., the head of the inspection for the Brest region Lebed V.A. and head of department No. 1 of the specialized inspection A. Polivoda
The seminar addressed issues of the state of bridge structures in the Republic of Belarus, the main problems of ensuring the operational reliability and safety of bridges, especially the maintenance of large bridge structures, new design solutions, materials and technologies in the construction, reconstruction and repair of structures, the organization of work of bridge services.
It was noted that in the republic there are almost 5.3 thousand bridges and overpasses. Approximately 2.2 thousand structures, approximately 42% of the total number, require close attention. The most problematic are bridges and overpasses, which were built in the 70-80s of the last century. Priority repair today in the country requires 31 structures.
During the workshop, participants visited a number of bridge structures in the Brest region and exchanged views on pressing issues.
The bodies of the Gosstroynadzor, in turn, will continue work aimed at ensuring operational reliability and safety at the supervised facilities. Particular attention will be paid to compliance by construction participants with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.
