On February 1, 2019, a two-day seminar held in Minsk by the Department for Control and Supervision of the Construction of the State Standard for the heads of regional and specialized inspections completed its work.
At the seminar, the preliminary results of the work of the Gosstrojnadzor bodies in 2018 were discussed, in which the supervisory activity was focused on conducting preventive and outreach work in the form of monitoring, recommendations for eliminating and preventing the revealed inconsistencies, as well as seminar meetings and round tables. In 2019, this trend will continue. It is planned to complete the inspection work on the implementation of GOST ISO / IEC 17020-2013, which establishes the identical international requirements for inspection bodies, and subsequent accreditation in the National Accreditation System. This will make it possible to unify the activities of inspections, ensure uniformity of actions and procedures, and increase confidence in the results obtained. The specialized inspection and the inspection of the State Construction Inspection for the city of Minsk have already implemented this standard and received the relevant accreditation certificates. The remaining inspections will carry out this work in the first half of 2019. The workshop participants also considered issues of improving the work with citizens' appeals. Another important focus of the seminar is the issues of proper arrangement and maintenance of construction sites. Their solution, including using modern materials and approaches, was paid special attention when visiting such objects as “Restoration and adaptation of a single complex of buildings of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus”, “Shopping center on the street. Timiryazev in Minsk ”,“ The Great Stone Industrial Park in the Smolevichi District of the Minsk Region ”.
The new knowledge and information obtained during the seminar, the exchange of views and experience are certainly useful and will be applied in the implementation of supervisory activities in the future.
